Distant Suns: The new way to look at the sky App Reviews

Best astronomy app

Ive downloaded pretty much every astronomy app there is and this is probably the best and the one I use the most. The sky is always aligned with it. If it isnt just move the phone in an eight pattern and it will be. Lots of options and features other apps dont have. Use it to learn facts about each deep space object and it also shows great astrophotography pics of each. Moving the times and dates around also is handing so you can see what will be showing where and when. Totally worth the price!!

The best!

Awesome

Great use for iPhone

Uses GPS, compass and amazing computing abilities of the phone to make astronomy accessible and interesting. Highly recommended.

Distant suns

Love it! (But I would like it if there was more then just a line for the horizon. I keep losing track of where I am looking and end up trying to find stars below the horizon.)

Love it!

The best. Keep up the great work! I look forward to your future versions.

Distant Suns

I am pleased with this app, it has a lot of interesting info and beautiful images of the universes wonderful mysteries. But remember there is always room for improvement. Stay safe! :)

Distant Suns

Fantastic pocket guide of the night skies, the ability to tweak the settings is great!

Outstanding!

Ive loved DS ever since I owned an Amiga.

Excellent app

What a great app for all levels of astronomy lovers!!

Very convenient

Its really handy. Wherever you are you always have a star chart and its not too bright so your eyes dont have to readjust when looking from chart to sky.

Great app!

Best app on my phone.

Best star app available.

Display in night vision red. Extremely accurate on placement. Easy to use. Great for a star party and to take the kids out at night when you can see the night sky.

Wont launch.

It just crashes after the splash screen.

Wont update

Ive been trying to update my purchased program for about 2 weeks and it wont allow me to update. This was an AMAZING app prior to the upgrade. What happened??

Easy to use, lots of nice features

I have three astronomy apps installed right now. This is my favorite. I can easily choose an object and find out more about it, and I use the Whats Up feature a lot. I like the way constellation wireframes and illustrations arent distracting. Thank you for a nice app.

Uh…. somehow these suns got real fat, real quick

How did this particular app balloon from 94MB to 234MB on a point release update from 2.4.6 to 2.4.7?

Works

This is a great app that I couldve used earlier in the summer. But it works great anyways. Wish you guys could make it where i could move my phone and tilt it towards the sky in different directions instead of moving my finger. Great app though. 4 stars bc no moving phone function as mentioned above

Interesting anyway

I have only played with it so far and it seems pretty cool. Lots of features and fortunately really customizable. I have no idea why there are options for 6 different lens flares (which are just stupid, annoying skeuomorphic nonsense) and why the app is nearly 300MB.

Problematic Interface

Frustrating to use. Often find myself locked in a screen with no way to get back to a menu. It used to work, but recent UI changes have rendered the program a poor choice.

Worth the cost

You can spend less and get less. Meets my expectations.
